About Me
Hello, my name is Chanel, and as an experienced Birth Doula and Childbirth Educator in the Suffolk County area, I offer personalized prenatal and birthing support. My goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy and labor process. As a Birth Doula, I accompany women in labor to help ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience. I have completed training approved by DONA International, through the Long Island Doula Association (LIDA, Inc.). I draw on my on professional training, knowledge and experiences to provide physical, emotional, and information support to women during the birthing process. I can provide reassurance and perspective to you, and make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning, and other techniques for comfort.

"My husband and I couldn't be more happier with Chanel's level of preparedness, proactiveness and care as a Birth Doula. It was first time using a Birth Doula and we are very happy we chose Chanel. My experience started when I had go to to the hospital. Chanel was there ready and waiting for us; she had snacks for my 17 month old and I, she had extra chargers. She came prepared with everything. I was 2cm dilated and the Dr gave me 2 hrs to see if I would progress or not. To help with labour, Chanel and I walked the halls see if I would progress; after 2 hours no progression, so I was sent home. Chanel came home to labor with me for a couple more hours. In the event that she had to leave; she taught my husband different methods on how to ease the level of discomfort and pain that came with contractions. That really helped. It was Wednesday morning and I woke up with some excruciating pain. I called Chanel and told her that the level of pain had increased, and I told her I had to go to the hospital and she said she would meet me there. When I arrived she was there to greet me and to offer me some comfort. When the doctor came to check me I was told I was at 8cm, later on it was 9cm; then before I knew it I had to push. The Dr said that the baby's heart rate dropped every time I had a contraction, so to deliver quick. Chanel was there to help with breathing exercises and getting me anything I needed. I had discussrd my Birth Plan with her and she made sure to remind the Drs of my wishes. After the birth of our baby boy; she stayed with me for 2 hrs. Even in post partum she is still checking on my baby and I, she is finding resources to help us as well. She even got us a beautiful gift that captured the beautiful moments in the hospital. Chanel is the epitome of being an excellent Doula; she made my labor and birthing experience a great and memorable one 😊."
